More than 4,000 competitors and thousands more supporters will be welcomed to Belfast in March 2008 for the 38th Oireachtas Rince na Cruinne. Once again we are delighted to be at the city`s showpiece Waterfront Theatre for eight days of competition. More info....

"Belfast City Council is delighted and excited to be hosting the 2008 World Irish Dancing Championships.  This will be the third world event that Belfast has secured and we are sure, as in previous years, that the Irish dancing fraternity will be extended a warm welcome to our city. 

The traditional venue for the championships, the magnificent Belfast Waterfront Theatre, has recently undergone a major £2million refurbishment.  This will mean that competitors, teachers, adjudicators, and families will find the best venue ever for the World Irish Dancing Championships."
