The Kelly Hendry School, Newcastle
Kelly Hendry danced as a child in the North East of England from the age of 8. During her competitive career she represented her dancing school (The Hannon Murphy School) and the North East all over the world. Kelly won many titles, such as The All Ireland, Great Britain, British National, North American and many more. Her most prestigious title was claimed the day before her sixteenth birthday when she won the World Irish Dance Championships in Galway.

Following her retirement from competitive dancing at the age of sixteen she auditioned for the world famous Irish dance show 'Lord of the Dance'. Within a few months Kelly was dancing the lead role, playing the part of the 'Temptress' opposite Michael Flatley. During her time in the show Kelly trained for her teaching exam and successfully qualified as a dance teacher.
The Kelly Hendry school is now going into its third year and has already achieved results of a very high standard. Kelly has done it all! From competitive dancing, to touring with a world class show, but she is at her happiest teaching children to dance and feels honored to be able to give something back from the lessons and experiences she has learned along the way.
