An Coimisiun le Rinci Gaelacha welcomes the international Irish dancing family to the 40th Oireachtas Rince na Cruinne 2010 in Glasgow. This event attracts around 4 500 dancers accompanied by more than 15 000 family members, friends, teachers and supporters to cheer them on. These talented contestants represent Irish dance schools from 32 countries around the globe.

These championships are more than just competitions. This event is about Irish Dancing, a unique, valuable and visible part of our rich Irish heritage.

This celebration of Irish dance, heritage and culture binds together the peoples of Europe, Asia, the Americas, Africa and Australia. It is the gathering of an extended family of dancers, teachers, parents, musicians, officials, families and lovers of Irish dance.
