I am originally from County Donegal and spent my early dancing years in the North West, taking my first lessons at the age of five and competing and excelling at all major events, including Ulster, All-Ireland and World Irish Dancing Championships. I took my TCRG in California in 1986 where I taught all levels of dancing to both adults and children. It was during this time that I met my future husband Bernard. We returned home in 1990 and I straight away established my school in Bernard’s home county of Meath. Through dedication and hard work, the school has flourished over the past twenty years.
I am very proud of my dancers and their achievements, with major titles under my belt including World, All Ireland, North American and British National Championships. This year I will be celebrating fourteen years as an adjudicator, during which time I have judged all over the world, as far afield as New Zealand, and at all major events, including the All-Irelands, Worlds and North American Championships.
I am very honoured to officiate at the World Championships 2010 on this 40th Anniversary of the event.
