Phyliss Cronin

Phyllis began her dancing career with Scoil Rince Uí Nualláin in Limerick and completed her competitive career under the tutelage of her Aunt Breeda McInerney a.d.c.r.g. During her competitive career Phyllis won many Munster titles including the coveted Crois Tuamhumhan on two consecutive occasions. She was also consistently placed at the All Ireland and World Championships as a solo dancer throughout her career.

Since qualifying as an adjudicator in 1990 Phyllis has had the pleasure of being invited to adjudicate at many major competitions and Oireachtaisí all over the world. Having returned to formal education in 2004, Phyllis graduated with a BA in History in 2008 and is currently completing her studies for a Masters in History.


Phyllis is looking forward to returning to Glasgow to adjudicate Oireachtas na Cruinne for the second time and would like to take this opportunity to wish all those involved, An Coimisiún, teachers and dancers the very best of luck.
