Angela McDonagh, originally from Tuam, now living in Corofin, Co. Galway has been immersed in all things Gaelic since a very young age. Married to John, they have three children and have passed on this same love of our Irish language, music and dance. Their two sons and daughter are all accomplished musicians, having won major awards at Fleadh Ceoil na hÉireann.

Angela has been privileged to have adjudicated at all major dancing championships throughout the World, including Oireachtas Rince na hÉireann, Great Britain and North American championships, and has officiated at Oireachtas Rince na Cruinne under the previous adjudication system.

She is delighted to adjudicate at this historic event in Philadelphia, with her teaching partner for the past eleven years, Ann Byrne-Gibbons. Together with Lorraine Farrell, Derek Fahy and Veronica Guinan, they run the well-known and highly successful McDonagh-Byrne S.D. Galway

Angela would like to congratulate An Coimisuin on this very courageous step in staging Oireachtas Rince na Cruinne 2009 on North American soil for the very first time and wish all involved a very successful event.
