Dean Crouch

Dean was an experienced Irish Dancer winning every major title – World Championships, All Ireland, Great Britain, North American and All Scotland, dancing for the Claddagh School in London. He has had many good memories of competing at the World Championships!

Dean soon decided to retire from the dancing and concentrate on pushing his ambition with Irish Music. He has since won the World Accordion Championships in Belfast and the All Ireland Fleadh. To be All Ireland and World Champion in both dancing and music is quite an achievement at 17 years of age.

Dean has produced two popular Irish Dancing CD’s, The Best That I Can Be and Top Box; both a credit to his musical talents. In addition to the two CD’s, he has recently been putting time and energy into his website www.DeanCrouch.co.uk. This website is specifically designed for Irish Dancers with downloads, ring tones, CD’s and regular updates of new and up to date tunes.

For the past two years, Dean has been pursuing a full time career within the Private Banking industry in the City of London, working for a world renowned Private Bank with very high profile clientele listed on their books. To further Dean’s career within the music industry, he has joined with Barry Owen and The Main Attraction playing keyboards covering a variety of music including Country, Irish, Old classics and of course some of the latest chart hits! Barry, Dean and the Band have the privilege of providing some of the night-time entertainment at this years World Championships and can be seen throughout the week at various functions arranged for the event this year.

Dean has been playing feisanna for 7 years and this is the 5th year Dean has the honour of returning to play for the World Irish Dancing Championships and is thoroughly looking forward to travelling to the USA to play for this prestigious event.

Dean would like to wish all of the dancers, teachers and organisers the very best of luck and a successful World Championships in 2009 . . .
