Julie started dancing at a young age in Wolverhampton with the Doherty School. When her family relocated
to Derry she continued dancing under the instruction of the late Mary Soal. She won the Ulster title as
a Junior Lady and in Ceili Championships and medal winner in solo and team competitions at All Ireland and
World Championships.
She is the principal teacher of Evans School of Dancing and has been teaching for 20 years and adjudicating
for 14 years. She has had pupils that have won Ulster and National titles in both solo and figure championships
and placed at All Ireland, British, American and World Championships.
She feels honoured to be chosen to adjudicate
the first World Championship in America and wishes all involved every success. |
